Build Strong, Resilient Teen Athletes

Semi-private strength and conditioning for teen athletes to improve performance, reduce injury risk, and build a foundation for lifelong health.

The demands on teen athletes is higher than ever.

Athletics, schoolwork, extracurriculars, social stressors — being a teen in today’s world isn’t easy. As a result, finding appropriate teen athlete training can be a challenge.

Many programs focus on a more-is-better approach, overloading teen athletes and risking injury. Others focus on vanity metrics without teaching fundamental skills. Some programs even use exercise as punishment, which sets up a potentially lifelong negative relationship with movement.

At EVOLVE, we do things differently.

We offer semi-private teen strength and conditioning training, and know that when your teens step into our facility, you are trusting us with their health, safety, and athletic performance. We don’t take that trust lightly.

Our coaches help teens build strength, confidence, performance, and resilience in a small-group environment that emphasizes good coaching over grind culture. We focus on learning foundational movements, long-term athletic development, and cultivating a positive relationship with movement and exercise.

Our coaches are directed by our Doctors of Physical Therapy and Registered Dietitians, who regularly work with teens who have found themselves on the wrong side of injuries or their relationship to exercise, food, and body image. W

We aim to develop amazing humans, not just great athletes.

Who This Is For

  • Parents and teens who can commit to a regular training time for a season (e.g., 8–12 weeks).

  • Small groups of athletes within 2–3 years of age who want focused coaching instead of a crowded team lift.

  • Teens who want to move better, get stronger, and reduce injury risk in their sport.

  • Families who can help us coordinate logistics.

If you are interested in setting up a training group with athletes more than 2–3 years apart, we may still be able to accommodate. Please reach out so we can chat about each athlete’s goals and training level.

How the Semi-Private Group Setup Works

A semi-private format combines the benefits of personal training with the energy and accountability of training alongside peers—all at a more accessible price point for families.

The lives of most teens these days are jam-packed with athletics, extracurriculars, homework, and more. In order to offer consistent, high-quality services to teens, we ask for your help with the training group’s organization and logistics.

  • All teen semi-private training is scheduled and billed per group, not as a drop-in class.

  • Parents/teens are responsible for forming their own group, maximum 5 athletes.

  • We work primarily with one “lead” parent for scheduling, communication, and billing.

  • The lead parent coordinates with the rest of the group on attendance and cost-sharing.

If you are interested in teen training but do not have a training group, or have more than 5 athletes, please still reach out. We typically start individual athletes with 1–2 months of personal training, and can then transition them into our semi-private Foundations program when appropriate.

Pricing, Billing, and Attendance Policies

  • Pricing is per group, regardless of how many athletes attend a given session.

  • A monthly charge is processed to one credit card of a parent/guardian; families can settle up with each other however they like.

  • No refunds or make-up sessions are offered for individual missed sessions (if 1–2 athletes are absent, the session still runs for the group).

  • If the entire group cannot make a scheduled time and gives advance notice, we’ll do our best to reschedule within the month, but reschedules are not guaranteed.

Pricing

Training is billed monthly, with a minimum 2-month commitment. All prices listed are total per group:

  • 4 sessions/ month = $375/month ($93.75/session)

  • 8 sessions/ month = $625/ month ($78.12/session)

  • 12 sessions/ month = $875/ month ($72.92/session)

frequently asked questions

  • We typically recommend that semi-private training for teens ages 13-17, and that group members are within 2 years of each other. If you have younger athletes, or a wider age distribution, please reach out to us so we can chat about the athletes in your group.

  • The group session will still run, even if 1-2 athletes cannot attend. If the entire group cannot make the session, we will do our best to reschedule it, but this is not guaranteed.

  • EVOLVE’s adult classes and open gym are open to individuals 17 and older. This age requirement is essential to maintaining a safe, effective, and appropriate environment for our adult members.

We occasionally admit teens to our Foundations program, but only after they complete 1-2 months of personal training to establish essential movement foundations.

  • Yes! This program provides an excellent foundation for any sport or activity, and your teen’s teammates would make great training buddies!

Research shows that restricting movement patterns to those specific to one sport at a young age can increase risk of injury. This program will help to improve overall athletic performance and decrease injury risk.

  • Yes! Developing a healthy relationship with strength training and movement early on is key to lifelong health and fitness. Because most high schools only offer weight room access to sports teams, semiprivate training for teens at EVOLVE may be even more crucial for those not involved in traditional high school sports.

  • EVOLVE also offers 1-on-1 personal training. Your teen can work individually with the same amazing strength coaches who guide our teen program. You can find more information here.

  • We recommend that you do not sign your teen up for the program if they do not want to participate. One of EVOLVE’s core values is that exercise should be fun and empowering. If your teen is forced to participate, it may promote a negative relationship with exercise.

  • No way! Teens of any gender can participate.
